Does SharePoint have a archiving policy?

I get this question asked so many times.

In the Document Information Management Policy Settings, you can define a policy to delete files.

It can delete a file if it is X amount days old. Once deleted it is deleted.

Can the file be copied to an archive location? Not from this policy, you’ll need another trigger event. Perhaps a Send To
