Small firms get their own ‘Facebook’

Microsoft has launched a face book for small biz.

“Vodafone, Royal Bank of Scotland and Microsoft have joined the government in backing a business support website, billed as Facebook for entrepreneurs, to be launched this autumn.
Smarta is the brainchild of internet investor Sháá Wasmund, who acted as boxer Chris Eubank’s promoter before founding teenage girls’ website Mykindaplace. He now runs internet investment fund Brightstation Ventures.”

I agree 100% with the problem with government small biz advisers of not having the relevant business expertise to support budding entrepreneurs. This is a great step in the right direction to bridge this gap.

Business Jargon

Well I read this article on the BBC web site, and somewhat cinched as I hear this language all the time, by co workers and clients on conference calls.

Reading the literature from any software company, it do question, who writes the stuff.

But like all Microsoft consultants, it’s important that we are all on the same page, for a helicopter view of the issues, so we can leverage your existing technology, to hit the ball out of the ball park. 🙂
